About Tina Hagmann
Tina Hagmann, born in 1975 in Carinthia, Austria, spent her childhood there before moving to Styria as a teenager, where she found fulfillment in her passion for horses.
Her early experiences working with children as a member of the Protestant Church's youth work laid the foundation for her future career. After graduating high school, she pursued her studies in psychology, philosophy, and ethics at the University of Vienna, a path that felt like the natural and right choice. Upon earning her degree, Tina began teaching at a grammar school in Baden, Austria. Over the years, she published several didactic-pedagogical essays in relevant professional journals and also trained as a systemic-constructivist coach. Alongside her teaching career, she mentors students at the University of Vienna, guiding future educators through their training.
Tina's passion for writing, however, truly took shape during the quiet days of the pandemic. With fewer distractions, she finally had the time and space to nurture the stories that had lived in her mind for years. Although her writing journey began with historical romance, it was her love for fantasy that truly captured her imagination, and she is now fully dedicated to her upcoming fantasy trilogy. In addition to her personal writing projects, Tina works as a Developmental Editor alongside her close friend, K. Pimpinella. Together, they help authors bring their stories to life, a collaboration that has deepened Tina’s love for storytelling and further honed her skills.
Tina lives with her husband, Stefan, and their two children, just south of Vienna in Lower Austria. With no dedicated home office, she writes at the family dining table, often late into the night, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of family life. She credits her husband’s unwavering support in helping her balance her duties as a mother and teacher with her writing career.
Her writing journey has been one of perseverance, patience, and dedication. From stolen moments at the keyboard to late-night sessions, Tina has grown her craft with care and passion. Her debut novel "When Atlantis Calls" shot to #1 on Kindle Amazon's historical romance and historical fiction charts (books for free), with the German edition "Tribut und Widerstand" repeating the feat, cementing her status as a breakout author in the historical fiction genre.
