my World

Dear Reader, Thank you for stopping by and taking an interest in my work as a writer. At this point, I suppose I should say, “I’ve written stories since I could hold a pen.” I’m always fascinated when I read about other authors who have been filling notebooks with stories since childhood. I must admit, it’s a little daunting because, for me, writing didn’t accompany my earliest years. In fact, aside from a few unfinished attempts during my teenage years, I neither wrote anything notable nor practiced or improved my writing skills. I just read a lot of books and often thought about how wonderful it would be to write my own fiction one day. What has accompanied me since childhood, however, are the countless stories I created in my mind all day long. Whether I was sitting in the car, riding my horse, taking a walk, doing housework, or right before falling asleep, I can’t remember a time when stories weren’t spinning in my head. They were fragmented and often incoherent, but always vivid and inspiring. And still, I’m not quite sure why, as a working woman in the midst of life and a mother of two, I finally opened my laptop and, carving out just one hour a day from my otherwise hectic life, began writing down a story. Without knowing exactly what I was doing, I penned the first sentences of a fan fiction and, somewhere in the middle of that, even started a second one. Through this process, I discovered two things: First, thinking up a story is one thing, but writing it down is something else entirely. What seemed like quick flashes of ideas in my mind often took an eternity to get on paper. Second, the act of writing not only brought me joy but also deep satisfaction. While polishing sentences or mapping out a chapter, I am constantly surprised by how my characters begin to take on lives of their own. It’s an incredible experience! Most of all, there’s this inner voice that eagerly looks forward to sharing these stories with you. I have often heard the saying that you write for yourself in the first place. But I confess, I don’t. I write for you. I write so that, when you open my books, you can escape your everyday life. I hope you experience adventures that stay with you long after you’ve closed the book—whether because they were exciting, heartbreaking, or utterly thrilling. I want you to feel the same sense of wonder I experienced while creating these worlds—a place so different from everything else, offering a brief escape from the ups and downs of everyday life. I don’t know if my stories are the right ones for you—only you can decide that. But I hope they are. With this in mind, I wish you great joy in reading my books and a wonderful journey into worlds full of adventure! Warm regards, Tina
